The mediating role of academic self-regulation in the relationship between autocorrect use and vocabulary size

Mobile learning has extensively influenced students’ gains and motivation due to the hardware software development of mobile devices applications in recent decades. On-the-go increases capacity for flexible joyful guarantees access instructional content anywhere, anytime. Despite their potential benefits, presence every educational activity can be detrimental cognitive abilities as misuse or overuse specific may influence concentration critical thinking. One such downside is reported overusing automatic spelling correction software, known AutoCorrect (AC), language learning. Uncertainty regarding values AC increased skills vocabulary knowledge have declined. The main problem this study addressed examining relationship between EFL learners’ use size; if academic self-regulation mediates association. Data were gathered from 101 foreign learners who completed measures use, self-regulation, size. results showed significant positive correlations size, self-regulation. Further, testing model supported a mediating role suggesting that lead more English words condition deploying self-regulatory strategies. signifies how assist exploiting (m-learning) advantage attaining goals efficiently.
